Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection is a biologic therapy that can stimulate healing and enhancerepair in certain orthopaedic injuries. What is PRP therapy?

PRP is a therapy produced from the patient’s own blood that is composed of plasma and a highconcentration of platelets. It is injected into the injured area, thereby introducing a highconcentration of platelets to the injury site, helping it heal.

The goal of treatment is to use yourbody’s own resources to regenerate damaged tissue, providing you with long-term relief from painand enhanced mobility.

What problems can PRP injections be used to treat?

Platelet-rich plasma injections can be used to treat such degenerative conditions as osteoarthritis,as well as cartilage, tendon, ligament, and muscle injuries.
