The Physical Therapy staff at Palm Beach Sports Medicine are focused on providing you with the most recent evidence-based treatment interventions and personalized care you need to maximize your recovery. For the physical therapy department you will be evaluated and treated by a Doctor of Physical Therapy to give you the quickest and most optimal outcomes for your recovery. Whether returning to a sport or just getting back to your everyday activities we are here to get you better.  We will also get you on your own home exercise program upon discharge

Eric Wanner, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert DN

Director of Physical Therapy

Eric Wanner, DPT, received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. He currently has fifteen publications

Moreover, Dr. Wanner has presented at Florida Atlantic University College of Education and at the 2013 and 2014 Learn Green Conference and Expo in Dreyfoos School of the Arts on the topic of “Take Initiative and Manage Stress.”

Dr. Banner is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy. He holds a certification as a clinical instructor through the APTA and has written for their NPTE PTA exam.

Dr. Banner wrestled at The Ohio State University before having to stop after his fourth knee surgery, which led him to turn physical therapy into his profession. Nowadays, he is the director of the Physical Therapy Department at Palm Beach Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center.

Javier Gonzalez PT, DPT

Javier Gonzalez, PT, DPT, received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, and then went on to obtain his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at The University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.

Originally from Miami, FL, Javier is a huge Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat fan. He has been playing sports his entire life, which nurtured his strong passion for all things fitness and wellness. Dealing with a few injuries of his own in the past, Javier is dedicated to helping people feel their best.

Jessica Jorgensen PT, DPT, OCS, Cert DN

Jessica Jorgensen, PT, DPT, received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN in 2008. Afterward, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at The University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, in 2011.

In 2015, Jessica expanded her expertise in orthopedics by attaining certification as a board-certified orthopedic specialist. She loves being able to help people improve their quality of life and reach their goals, and has worked in both acute care hospital settings and outpatient orthopedic clinical practices.
